Build a Personalized
72hr Emergency Kit

 Emergency preparedness for beginners

- it's  quick, easy, and you can  start for free!

In just 2 hours, you’ll start building a personalized emergency kit that reflects your community’s unique needs - using what you already have at home. No fear tactics. No $300 kits. Just care-centered, culturally relevant, and trauma-informed preparation.

As a nonprofit leader, community builder, teacher, or frontline worker you care for others, it's in everything you do - but it can be hard to know how to start preparing when the crises are compiling.

This is especially true if your community is racialized, disabled, undocumented, or under-resourced - the typical advice to “go buy a $300 kit” is financially inaccessible, and not relevant to many lived experiences or cultural needs.

And the fear-based messaging? It just shuts people down.

I support care-centered changemakers - like YOU - prepare yourselves and your communities.

Most preparedness advice wasn’t made for people like us. Here’s what it assumes - and what it overlooks:

Most emergency checklists assume:

- You have disposable income

- You have a well stocked store nearby

- You are able to create plans and follow through easily

- Your body moves without barriers

- Your family structure is nuclear and your culture is “mainstream”

- That the emergency is singular and is meant to be overcome

They often ignore

- Intergenerational households

- Community responsibilities

- Financial constraints

- Cultural practices + spiritual beliefs

- Historical trauma + immigration status

- Disability, cognitive ability, mobility needs, etc.

- Collective care, joy, + community connection

- That emergencies are compiling and are shaping our global context

I created this workshop because I’ve watched too many care-centered changemakers feel overwhelmed, shut down, or left out by preparedness frameworks that weren’t designed for us.

You want your people to be ready.

In an emergency, your community will turn to you - but without a plan, you may not have the capacity to support them all.

Preparedness, isn't just practical in times of uncertainty.

Preparedness is a care practice.
And it starts here.
