This guide will help you start preparing your community for emergencies in a way that feels like being more intentional about the care and relationships in your community.
Rather than feeling like one more project that requires funding, staff, and time.
This guide includes many ways to care for yourself, while you care for others, and prompts you to think about how you allow others to care for yourself too. Emergencies can collapse 'order' and 'control' so building up relationships, rather than projects, is key to working collaboratively.

Preparing is caring . . .
In a capitalist and individualist culture you might feel like YOU need to have ALL the top of the line emergency supplies to be prepared.
But, the reality is that for 1000’s of years land based cultures survived disasters by having a practice of collaborating with each other and the land.
So as capitalism collapses and climate change accelerates in addition to preparing for disasters we also need to prepare ourselves to live collaboratively, again.
This Quick Start Guide to Inclusive Community Preparedness will help you feel relief as you are reminded that you have more than you think you do when you prepare collaboratively with others.
